2009 New Years Resolution
Any New Years resolutions?
Mine is to make sure I give enough money to government. I'd hate to see them not be able to eat filet and travel in private planes but rather eat hotdogs and maccoroni and cheese and drive five year old vehicles like the rest of us.
And to serve Mrs. Simon better and remember she is always right...always.

PatC created a monster, 'cause nobody wants to see Don Simon no more they want AARR I'm chopped liver, well if you want AARR this is what I'll give ya, bad humor mixed with irrelevant info that'll make you roll your eyes quicker than a ~Z~ banhammer...

1. Become a better photographer
2. Spend more quality time trackside
3. Get some new gear
...and a few others randomly associated with my personal life.

Re: 2009 New Years Resolution
Heres one I will add, stay out of the hosiptial. I spent about 60 days in U of M in 2008. I don't want to go back. And at that, I will point out that at Exactly 12:20pm on New Years Day 2008 I was struck and almost killed by a car. My the things I have learned this year and concurred. The you will never walk again, to you'll never be able to stand for more than a half hour to you will lose your leg. And now I do all of that and act as a brakemen.

1. Spend more time with family.
2. Find a job either in or out of Michigan.
3. Take better pictures.
4. Learn how to manipulate RAW images.
5. Get out of my current lease and get the truck I really want(I'm dreaming here).
6. There is more but I wouldn't finish until next year.....

Re: 2009 New Years Resolution
Spend more time with my wonderful wife, Cheryl.
Bike some new rail trails and take pics to post here.
Learn to post pics here, I hate off site dead drops like photo bucket.
Take that picnic on the BNSF mainline south of Needles Ca, that my wife, Cheryl, and I agreed to come back and do while watching trains when we first met 3 years ago.
Lose 30 lbs, ( the biking will take care of that)
Stir the pot here more consistantly,

Re: 2009 New Years Resolution
Never make 'NY resolutions' ...however, 2009 goals are as follows:
1. Get the layout moving.
2. Finish all the uncompleted weathering projects.
3. Grow biz by 50% or more.
4. New house.
5. Further preparation for Armageddon.
And a few more.
