bad Tim bad! you were supposed to hold that empty until my lunch hour around 1pm, remember? I'm fearing nothing will be moving, as I have to head out for lunch today. At least I had good fortune and caught X500 near the Zeeland power plant this morning in good light..nice clean power, CP 8780 with some snow stuck to the front even... a few containers up front, then a line of autoracks to finish it off.
Also heard that Alto was reopened for traffic as of at latest 8am, so it appears that would be why q334/q335 were annulled. Q326 tied back up at GR yesterday, but don't see one called for today yet.

Just a little mention of it yesterday, viewtopic.php?f=20&t=12619, but Alto Gas had a propane leak, but it's now cleared. Here's the article...appears a board member of ours posts on their threads a lot

Q32713 cleared Plymouth Diamond @ 16:00 with 8112, 8035 and 105 cars most of them were DSSX cars
then at 16:40 they called the RN and told him they stalled on the hill so they are going to double the hill cause there is no one to help them.
saw N95411 BNSF 9839,5768 went thru Plymouth 10 mins before 327 flew by.

RN informed X500-11 with CP 8780 leading CSX 8591-351 that they would be going in the hole at Brighton for Q327-13 because he stalled on the hill between Plymouth and South Lyon, and expect to be there awhile. Sounds like a Friday the 13th story. Apparently, the CSX units on X500 were what was supposed to be on Q326 last night that did not run. Was pleased, seeing I was gone early, and gone for eight hours that todays Q334-335 were both annulled. I thought I had missed them both. A strange sight on Q335-12 yesterday was at least 25-30 DSSX salt cars as well.

D708-13 today had 53 MORE LPG tankers for GLC storage, plus four or five others. GLC brought down two units from Owosso as a special move for this train. It has to be well over 100 tankers to GLC in the past week to ten days. D708 finally got the last four empties out of International Paper a bit ago finally after trying since last Friday. The bad order cars were finally repaired to make the move. This should be the last time for the Ensel local to be at International Paper. Crew said today, the plant is expected to close totally on Mar 23rd, and as far as they knew, no more loads are scheduled in. Thus, ends over 40 years of switching at this plant.

Per Bob's statement right after his sentence about 53 more LPG tankers:

GLC brought down two units from Owosso as a special move for this train.

D708 meets up with the GLC crew, GLC ties on and takes their cars onto GLC trackage, and heads north to Owosso.

Actually, for todays move, something a little different was done, only because D708 was much earlier than planned and beat the Owosso light engine crew by a couple hours. With a U-man from GLC there in a pick up upon 708s arrival, 708 backed the entire train down to just south of GLC's Beck Rd crossing where the advance northbound signal for Ann Pere diamond is and left them there. They could have just backed around and left them just south of the transfer track, as there would have been room, but with X500 and Q327 coming, both would have had to flag the diamond to get across, as the cars would have still been on the circuit.

As it turned out, GLC showed within 15 minutes after D708 made this move. With X500 getting delayed at Fowlerville waiting for D708 to switch International Paper, and Q327 doubling the hill at South Lyon, GLC was long gone north before even X500 got there.

X500 still in the hole at Brighton as of 1836. Not sure how close Q327 is if they are moving, because the WAS at both EE and WE Brighton were red when I went by ten minutes ago.
