I did enjoy thanks for the post.
A great photographer can make a great photo out of any kind of light from any angle at any time, life is not a studio! There is no such thing as bad light.

Nice pics Brad, I take it you got permission to go into Saginaw yard. Cool place, but its too bad they don't have a lot going on there.

I often tire taking pictures of short lines.

Not a lot going on there? Really? I seem to find trains in Saginaw all the time.

Saginaw and Bay City has more train movements than one might think, maybe not a lot of runthrough mainline action like you would find on a class 1 but there is a lot of switching and interesting moves, not to mention interchanges, if you know when the trains run, on a given weekday you would be amazed at what you could see.

I think Brian was refering to Saginaw Yard itself, not saginaw in general.

yea they were really cool about it. Actually on both days i went last week there was a lot of action going on. Monday morning i found 3 different switching jobs along with the Huron and Eastern switching in the Saginaw Yard. On Friday only one switching job but a southbound was preparing to leave. Later that day HESR stopped by the Saginaw Yard and then switched the Wenona yard. CMGN 2014 than came down to Saginaw. Both days i saw/took pictures of atleast 6-8 trains/switching jobs. I spent last saturday at Romulus from 8am till 4 pm. Only saw 6 trains and two switching jobs. Ironically Saginaw competes pretty well according to those stats.
Brad~Thanks everyone for the comments. I'll do this again next post of pictures!
