Thats a good idea, Also throw some old tires onto the flames that will realy get it cooking. Nice thick black smoke to, watch out for the fumes though.Y@ wrote:SOMEBODY FOR THE LOVE OF GOD TELL SCOTT TO STAY AWAKE.
AND ALSO, BRING OLD SPEAKERS. THEY MAKE GOOD FIRE MATERIAL.
ANYTHING LARGE THAT BURNS WELL IS GOOD... THERE'S PLENTY OF COAL TO ADD AS WELL.

Anyone know the rates for camping at this park? Also, what kind of train frequency are we looking at? This kinda sounds fun, haven't gone on a road trip in a while.

As far as I know, no rates for camping, free(not sure if they allow more than just a tent though)...although they do encourage a donation of some sort for us all using their facilities for the weekend. I hear wifi-internet available, port-a-potty, firepit, shelter, and some electricity.UncleRaul wrote:Anyone know the rates for camping at this park? Give em a donation from what i hear and no problems. As long as you don't try to set people on fire you should be ok!

there's no fee beside the donation which is optional, but i do encourage it.
if you dont wanna use the portapoty, there's a gas station 2 blocks away.

The donation box is located on the blue shed next to the Toledo Sub. (the single-track line) The best spot for tents/campers/RV's is north of Mulberry Street (the street that runs by the park) and west of the shelter house. There are 110 volt and 220 volt hookups for campers/RV's at the shelter house. (the 220 is on a long heavy duty cord)
I want to get a railfan guide made for Deshler online hopefully by the beginning of the summer. I have the information, now I just need to sit down and get it put together.
