Trains in Charlevoix
Trains in Charlevoix
I'm going to Charlevoix in a couple weeks. According to Google maps there is a rail line in Charlevoix. Does anyone know who's track it is and if it's even still an active line?

Charlevoix, MI? That's a very outdated map then. Track hasn't gone through Charlevoix since the 80's.

Alan - No more track from Petoskey to Charlevoix. Torn out in the 1980's. Two remaining customers moved to Foreman, which is just a little south of Petoskey. One of those customers, Petoskey Plastics, still gets their plastic from a team track there. The other, Petoskey Gas, was acquired by Amerigas in the early 1990's and stopped rail service although their siding is still there.
PatC created a monster, 'cause nobody wants to see Don Simon no more they want AARR I'm chopped liver, well if you want AARR this is what I'll give ya, bad humor mixed with irrelevant info that'll make you roll your eyes quicker than a ~Z~ banhammer...
