CSX Train Location Updates - September 2017

That w00107 inspection train ran right thru Wyoming Yard and continued eastbound.

They might have worked the double track and the West Side, but they didn't head east from GR today.

Also have a report of an X335-08 enroute from Walbridge to GR - eastsiders alert!

CSX X335-08 got pushed back to a 6 AM departure on 9/8/2017.

There was a Sperry working around St. Joseph westbound this afternoon. I didn't see it, so I don't know whether it was a hi-rail or a car.

E800 is currently going through Benton Harbor. Sounds like BNSF 8752 leading. Earlier this week this unit was paired with BNSF 8434.

Q326 with the previously listed GE power and 157 cars cleared WE Saugatuck at 1310hrs. Lots of those short cement hoppers in the consist along with a good assortment of boxcars, including a minimally graffitied and generally nicely painted RJ Corman "billboard" car. In addition to one of the typical NS coil cars for Arlington, this is at least the 2nd time I've seen a CSX coil car as well. Where else in west Michigan is getting coil cars? A pair of BNSF ACe's noted by Tlout were shoving.

The RJ Corman boxcars go to, I believe, the paper mill in Otsego on the Grand Elk. The CSX coil cars are for RDSC in Holt on the Jackson & Lansing.

Sounds like 327 is currently putting the train together at Ivanrest. I imagine they will head west shortly. Horn sounds good in the cool, clear air.

CSX Q241-08. It runs everyday from Walbridge down to Florida. For some reason it originated in Detroit today.

Between the Sperry car and the track geometry car, there are a ton of slow orders on the line. P370 is 45 minutes late at St Joe as a result. RN just told Amtrak they will be operating through the siding at wells--Q327 is 12,000 feet and on the main. .
