Thanks for confirming.
I searched for it in Flickr and it appears to have ended up on the PTRA in Houston.

Different engine. GMTX 2204 didn't have PTC, the plow wasn't painted and the MU hookups were in different locations.NS3322 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 21, 2022 7:51 amThanks for confirming.

Yep you are totally right. PTRA 2204 is ex-GMTX 2118 according to The Diesel Shop.1TrackMind wrote: ↑Mon Feb 21, 2022 3:48 pmDifferent engine. Anyone know if Amerhart in Grand Rapids closed? I drove by the other day and there's like nothing there and their website only lists, Jackson and Traverse City as locations.

Re: GDLK Operations
The GDLK may gain some new customers in the near future with Franklin Partners LLC buying the old GM stamping plant off of 36th St. They are planning to build multiple manufacturing plants in the property and have interest from Clean Energy, Automotive and battery companies interested already.

They bought General Materials in Jackson last fall. I wonder if that's why the GR location got cut?1TrackMind wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 1:19 amAnyone know if Amerhart in Grand Rapids closed? Basically everything mentioning Grand Rapids has been scrubbed from the website. Weird...

Re: GDLK Operations
Sounds like the former GM Fisher Body plant site in Wyoming on GDLK has finally been purchased. No firm answers on what the future holds for the site, but manufacturing and the rail access are mentioned.

Haha, I posted the same article in my previous comment. I will chalk it up to you having the same excitement I had when I thought rail could return to that site.SD80MAC wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 6:12 pmSounds like the former GM Fisher Body plant site in Wyoming on GDLK has finally been purchased. Rumor is three rail served customers will be located at the site. Additional up to five new customers and a new yard are said to be coming to the Bristol area.Dowagiac Train Dude wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 6:38 pmHaha, I posted the same article in my previous comment. Caught 303 northbound into GR yesterday with 4125 (man I wish they'd paint that front door) and 4124 with a short 7 car train, one of which was an ex SCL 60' waffle-side boxcar.

Re: GDLK Operations
Yes, that's exactly right. Buddy of mine who lives in the area drives for them. Has to drive from Grandville where his truck is stored to Traverse City basically every day to load up as Jackson isn't 100 percent ready to go. The property in Grand Rapids has been sold and there's no indication they will be using the spur.NS3322 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 5:48 pmThey bought General Materials in Jackson last fall. No, Grand Rapids. Eventually everything is supposed to run out of Jackson but when MQT1223 mentioned not using the GR Spur, I think he meant as a temporary spot to transload.

Re: GDLK Operations
I was referring to the new owner who bought the old Amerhart Grand Rapids Location. Stuff will be split between Jackson and Traverse City for rail.LansingRailFan wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 3:02 amNo, Grand Rapids. I agree, paint that door and slap those Grand Elk decals back on their locomotives.

NS stone train just went past the Elkhart camera heading up the line towards Kalamazoo @11:06 am. It looks like it was empty.

Probably loaded. The stone is much heavier than coal so the cars can't be loaded to the max.Dowagiac Train Dude wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 11:09 amNS stone train just went past the Elkhart camera heading up the line towards Kalamazoo @11:06 am. It looks like it was empty.
