After riding behind 4449 on Friday and getting back into Owosso around 5:40 PM we didn't hang around long and headed for the highway. Probably sometime just before 6PM and halfway between Owosso and Durand I lucked into finding this move on GLC heading the same way we were and got ahead at a crossing. No idea what this was about but not one of the "advertised public moves"...

Thanks - figured it was some kind of "company service" move of some sort - presumably a "shuttle" returning from the festival.

Hello everyone... Not sure if anyone posted any pics or not (i haven't had time to read all the posts in a long time) so i wanted to share some pictures of the Southern Pacific #4449 steam loco that made its way through Durand a couple weeks back on its return trip to Chicago and beyond.
