16:38 - L302-18 west thru Brighton with 5376 and 5263 leading elephant style again. 55 cars, ZVBX 16027, 1053, 76035, and 625771, near the front with FPTX 84022 between the latter two.
Been a while since I've seen this many ZVBX gons on one train.

I wasn’t ready for it and the train snuck up on me so I was not able to get the 3rd engines number.

Nice! Beautiful evening for a westbound train and I’m out of town and missed it!

Just like how everything is legal in New Jersey, every train gets a crew change at Grand Rapids. Whether grain train or OCS or coal or CP train or intermodal of yore, everyone sets the brakes at Wyoming Yard and a new crew continues the journey. This doesn't happen too much any more since almost no trains run through these days, but the rules still apply

That was R597-17 @ with BNSF engine #6098 & 130(?) empty coal cars & rear dpu BNSF engine #6162 & CSX engines #819 + #966. He had taken Wells Siding mp CG41.4 & tied down his train & then cut away the CSX power & took them westward into Grand Jct siding mp CG54 & tied them down to be added to loaded coal train C801-17 that had tied down there yesterday.

These engines were elephant style on L302-18 & the engineer last night offered to spin 1 of the engines so that they would be back to power, but, not known if they had done this.

CSX loaded rail train W016-12 just departed Walbridge heading north to Plymouth at 1PM. Doesn't sound like they'll be dropping any rail, just going up to Plymouth and tying down there.

17:10 - L302 has an approach signal at the EE of Brighton, L303 will probably be clear of the WE by the time L302 arrives.
17:38 - L302-19 west thru Brighton with 131 cars behind 5292 and 3242. CSXT 483245 and ..414 towards the end, as well as ten AEX gons carrying riprap and eleven three-digit MWAX covered hoppers.
17:59 - L303-19 east thru CH 43, 5376 and 5263 elephant style leading 114 cars. CSXT 483142, ..353 and ..471, ..218 and ..281, and ..201 and ..310 in separate pairs. The first two pairs were among many older gons.

That should be L302-19 with CSX engines #5292 + #3242 & 121 cars (78 loads + 43 empties) @ 11,633 tons & 7,196 feet long. He has work for Lansing.
L303-19 will be eastward with CSX engines #5376 + #5263 & 114 cars (if his info was accurate about picking 43 cars & none set off in Lansing).
