Yes, indeed, its at 15114 Laplaisance Road, Monroe, Monroe County, looking southwest along the CN Shore Line Sub and NS RR main track one towards Toledo, OH. Passenger train service was discontinuance many years ago on the ex DT&SL RR. Passenger train service was discontinued April 1, 1995 when the Toledo-Detroit portion of Amtrak trains 352/353 on the old ex MC between Toledo and Detroit was rerouted to be operates between Detroit and Pontiac.80mac wrote:15114 Laplaisance RdDaveO wrote:It's a Pleasure when the road name is translated into EnglishMichael wrote:Good job on that last one PatAzo. Re: Where Is It?
It was one of those things that I remembered admiring the house in the back ground in my travels. But I could not remember the exact location and DaveO jogged my memory.

Re: Where Is It?
Wasn't it originally an interurban?
Re: Where Is It?
Yes it was formed to be an interurban but ran into serious financial trouble during construction. The electric cars were only tested a few times and never used in revenue service.

Yes, indeed, it's Harsco Rail on the east side of S. Jackson Road, just south of Ludington Avenue (US-10) in Pere Marquette Township, Mason County. Just east of Ludington. The spur is west off the connection withe the former Ludington and Northern RR which is noth off the connection with the Marquette Rail, which was the former C&O Railway main line.

Indeed, it's the Grand Rapids Veterans Cemetery and Home on the north side of Lamberton Street, NE, just east of Monroe Avenue, NE, south of I-96 in Grand Rapids, Kent County.

Re: Where Is It?
I'm probably being more picky than necessary, but the ROW was for the City trolley line, and not any Interurban. Check out Carl Bajema's book, which is available at most KDL branches.
