More Power

Unread post by Justin »

The invasion of GE's begins as I bought three more units on Saturday (aside from all them EMDs I have opposed to one GE before). I purchsed two AC4400s and a U33C. The two AC4400's are Athearn Blue Box units and among them was a KCS and CNW unit.

I still have to add all the details yet for these. The next unit is the Southern Pacific U33C, my first Atlas purchase.

Since I was overrun with all that EMD power I figured some GE's were next on the list. Certainly does spice up the roster a bit.

Not at the time, I tend to run the trains more around todays theme. Eventually I may have a couple when I get local movements and such figured out.

You'll want to keep cabeese in mind when you plan your industries and yard transfer moves. If you'll be doing movements from one yard to the other by shoving cars, the caboose would be used to "protect the shove" across the diamond. Also includes (but not limited to) industries that are long spurs without runaround tracks and industries that require shoving on the main line.
