Athearnpassenger kits: weights
I want to add some extra weight to my athearn SL & hwy passenger car kits. is there any options at say home improvement stores I could use as out of sight weight for the athearn passenger cars? was thinking of using some micromark casting metal. make a mold and pour in the metal then attach the weights once cooled, in the indentation inside of passenger car floors.

Just glue some pennys in it, or buy some 1/4-20 nuts to glue in. Or Washers, the possibilities are endless..

You can buy lead fishing weights in bulk at sporting goods stores, in many various shapes. Then you can even hammer them into other shapes as needed. You can buy flat steel bars 1/8 in thick by 3/4 wide, at Home depot, and cut them to various lengths with a hacksaw, and lay them in the floor of the cars.
