GLC Derailment in Clare
TV 9&10 is reporting that GLC derailed in Clare on Monday afternoon. Report indicates a crane will arrive on Tuesday to rerail the car(s).
Re: GLC Derailment in Clare
The rear truck of the front loco appears to be on the ground.
The usual 9 and 10 News gibberish: Crews have a heavy clean-up job ahead of them after a train derailed in Clare County.
It happened on the Ann Arbor Trail in Clare Monday afternoon.
The Great Lakes Central Railroad train was working to switch tracks, but got separated and couldn’t get back on.

Wow a reporter who gets their rail terminology correct. I'm impressed.

Re: GLC Derailment in Clare
That reporter who wrote the story in the link that Standard Railfan posted didn't get all of her terminology correct. Here's part of the first sentence in the second paragraph: "A Great Lakes Central Railroad locomotive engineer picked a switch......" I only spent about 40 years on the railroad running engines and I never saw a Locomotive Engineer pick a switch.
I used to get paid for doing what all of you like to watch!

When you live in an area served by TV 9 & 10, the best option when the news comes on, LEAVE THE ROOM. No news is better than their news.

Yep. Total amateurs! They put up the wrong videos. Misspelled words on the titles. I only watch it to see the weather radar map.
