Ep. 492: Pacing the Union Pacific RR - W. Nebraska
Kimball, NE - 09 June 2016
Pacing the UP Overland Route Part III - W. Nebraska
The rolling hills of the Lodgepole Creek Valley in Western Nebraska has been host to the wide open territory of the Union Pacific since the 1860s, and today the railroad hardly misses a beat.
In this edition, we're chasing an eastbound Manifest along the Sidney Sub, utilizing the close-by US 30. The run begins just east of Kimball, NE, and ends just west of Potter.
Along the way, they pass two westbound trains, and pass through some of the classic high prairie scenery of the region.
