Quick ish ?
Picked up an Atlas "red box" HO U23B in Mopac colors and with the decals by circus city I think it'd make a fun project since my travels, both work and personal, have been abbreviated this year. Figured this would make a good way of getting back into the hobby- so this would be my first locomotive detailing project and one of my first major Model RR endeavors in 20 years. Already have most of the paint stripped on it - so it's almost ready for paint.
One thing that's got me kinda stumped though is figuring out exactly what type of air horns the CMGN U23's used ?
I'm not too knowledgeable on horns - so I'm trying to eyeball from pics, but best I can guess is that they seem to be some sort of Nathan 5 chime ? (or am I seeing things and there are only 3 ?)
Any other details about these that stand out that I should try to include ?
I know the cab profiles on the atlas cabs are a little off, but I'm ok with that, though I did pick up an atlas cab that has the 2 side windows vs the 4 that the model came with.
I'm not sure which road # I'm going to do yet, other than I'm NOT going to do 8902 ? (the one with the EMD cab) - so any of the others are kinda fair game at this point.
Appreciate all of the advice and thoughts!

8903, 8905, 5086, 5175 and 5492 all had Leslie RS5Ts.

No problem. I miss those units and their great horns. Here's 8903, 5175 and 5086 slogging out of Durand with a coal train back in 2011.
