Does the 1225 actually pull any freight for GLC maybe as part of a photo shoot but they still deliver the goods

Yes. Sometimes on freight photo runs the first few cars will be historic ones. Then the rest will be GLC revenue cars. Last time I saw them do this they had 1225 pull a cut of 40 grain cars

I don't think the new hoppers in this train were loaded or anything that day but I could be wrong. They just went from Owosso to like Elsie and back so they wouldn't really be going anywhere anyway. In 2008 I believe GLC let 1225 pull a grain train from Oakley to Owosso. They also did this in 2004 or 2005.

That I don't know. And aside from whoever was around that day, I'm sure the customers were never even aware that their grain was pulled by a steamer for a few miles Smile

Huron and Eastern also had some revenue cars behind the 1225 when it operated on their rails between Bay City and Durand back in 2007.
