DCC Programming

Unread post by rdenman62 »

ok here it goes, this may sound like a stupid question but i have to ask. I have a prodigy advanced 2 dcc system and i'm not sure what values to put in while programming to do anything other than the address. for example i see in digitrax programming guides they have values such as 008x008...I can't enter that in the prodigy system or can I? I have messed around with start voltage(value5) acceleration(100) deceleration(50) are these right? correct? Locomotives seem to respond differently but How about dimming the lights? what is the value for that? MRC guide is not that in depth. I did a search on this forum and came up with zilch. Searched the net for info but all I could find was digitrax style programming values...I may not be the brightest crayon in the box but I just can't figure this stuff out....any help is GREATLY APPRECIATED....

Good info on the yahoo group -

They can probably answer all the questions you might have with the system.

Different decoders use different values.
