There was a G79313 grain empty this morning with CSX 8076 8600 and 78 cars for Webberville. They had it spotted in the plant by 9am. Crew called for a G352 grain load at Grand Ledge. Q326 is at Trowbridge heading east at 12:30, (early today) D708 is switching west of Fowlerville and has a large train today. Q335 has just rounded the corner at Plymouth, and Q195 is now due to leave Detroit by 12:30, a couple hours behind the scheduled time.

Q195-18 was called at 1000 and this was due to a few reasons...gate cut off is at 0800 and when you limit your trains to 7000 feet but run the first one at 7996 feet...well you get the picture...its going to be a decent sized train with 31 L-11 E but about 4150 tons....same power as yesterdays Q196 turning....

CSXT #196 past Delray tower in Detroit, MI @ 1310. Will stop at Rougemere Tunnel office to let the engineer and conductor pilots off before heading west.

I hope CSXT gets their act together and gets this train out on time or these containers can ride the rubber wheels instead of the steel wheels.

Yep, thats the one!! Because they do run both G352 and G852 loads by here, if I don't write it down when I hear it I can't remember which one it was, and today, quoted the wrong one. I see you read between the lines and found it though!!

Q19518 with its lenthly train today, by Howell at 15:20, so he is moving right along despite the late departure. Must be they knew what they were doing bringing those three units east yesterday on Q195 yesterday with the short train. Looks like some great afternoon sunlight for its arrival into GRP.

Crew had to air test the entire train in Detroit which is not what they were planning on, plus putting several tracks together. Once they get the hang of this they will get out earlier. 8,400 of train they said when meeting Q326 here. 105 Containers, all double stacks on the head end, singles behind, and a string of empties on the rear. GREAT VIEWING for these parts. Much different than the containers you used to see on the old CP X502-503 trains.

That is what I said was going to be the problem all along. It is not going to get any better or faster. Only way is if they bend the rules. Trust me on this one. Shortest I ever got a Q150 out was 2 hours, and that was usualy only after moving the locos from the engine tracks to the yard, crossing back over, ect. So read 2 to 3 hours. From on duity time every day as a norm. I would say there 1300 departure would be about normal. Maybe as early as 1230, but about that time.

Just do the math a van yard that can only build 7800' of train at a time, on three tracks, no help, no assist, ect. Call time of 1000, with a Q150 at 315, who normaly wont depart until 0500 or later daily. Plus I can pretty much guarentee that those empties were not "built" behind the loads, they had to shuffel them around.

Dont know what block plan you are looking for, but it is the same stuff I have been saying. It not going to get trucked. It is just adjusted to avoid running to Celeveland and backtracking to Chicago. As I have said there never was a "Chicago" proper block, as it could travel there faster by truck, its all for way out some where else. I might imagine that some of this had to do with UMAX/UP deal to line stuff up better or quicker. Here is todays train.

BNSF Stacblair, WA (?) never heard of this place.
BNSF Los Angleas
BNSF Seatle, WA

UP Dallas, Tx
UP Lathrup, Ca
UP Oakland, Ca
UP City of Industry, Ca

CSX all the empties for 59th St. no loaded cars.

Same blocks a I was putting together for Q150. As far as blocking connections, the UP and BNSF come into 59th St to take stuff out to Global 3, 2 & 1. BNSF for Cicero, to head west.

Pretty much anyting heading out west or south, I supose as it grows, if it does, just about anywere is up for grabs.
