Re: check Avery out!!!
That is pretty amazing. I'd like to see more of it!
Re: check Avery out!!!
Wow! That is very inspirational! I should go to the basement and accomplish something on the layout. That would definitely be something to see in person.

Re: check Avery out!!!
Like everyone else, Bill, I am impressed with your layout!
PatC created a monster, 'cause nobody wants to see Don Simon no more they want AARR I'm chopped liver, well if you want AARR this is what I'll give ya, bad humor mixed with irrelevant info that'll make you roll your eyes quicker than a ~Z~ banhammer...
Re: check Avery out!!!
Only beef... track is too good for the MILW back in '74 (or later), then known as the "best dirt-track roadbed in the West."
Seriously, that's beyond pretty good for a first serious layout beyond the initial 4x8. Makes me wish I could have seen the Milwaukee West before the Embargo - I only got as far as Mobridge, SD before the end. Still, I got to see trains like the XL Special, dead freights, and the Big Stone and Columbia coal trains on the Dakota Div.
It was nice to watch the Milwaukee in action from the era I remembered, albeit at MP 763.9 rather than mileposts in the thousands (from CUS). Great job IMO.

Brilliant job, Bill, and congrats on the professional promo! What are you going to do now that you've had your 15 minutes (err...4:17) of fame? A trip to Disney Land?

Beautiful layout Bill. Would there be a "Little Joe" in the wings?

Re: check Avery out!!!
No fame. Just glad to share. As for those little joes.... I love the real ones but all the models suck! I have four Overlands from years ago. They look fantastic but extremely finicky. Have four of the MTH joes and they won't stay on the track. Plus one of them just went buns up for no reason. It's a pipe dream but it would be nice if Athearn Genesis came out with them. Until then, its mostly diesels for power.

Re: check Avery out!!!
I want to see that CP SD40 fleet running around there and some WC units.
Re: check Avery out!!!
I think I have some Soo power that would look good running with those MILW units. Need to get out the black paint first
