Just wanted to share a couple things.
First I've been working on a 2 track Signal bridge. The bridge kit is an NJ International kit and the signals are Show Case Miniatures kits. these kits are very nice, really accurate and seem to be close to scale. But man are they hard to put together. I've been taking my time but they still end up looking crooked. Any way here are a few pics of the progress. I'm trying to make it look like the one that used to be at Eckles rd. near Plymouth. More pics when its finished.
This will be a tripple head searchlight mast
And Here is an Exactrail 60' auto parts box car that I weathered. Not sure if the pics do it justice but I was pleased with how this one turned out. I'm still learning so they don't all turn out good.

Re: A couple projects
All your projects look great but I love the weathering on the box car! It is very realistic.
PatC created a monster, 'cause nobody wants to see Don Simon no more they want AARR I'm chopped liver, well if you want AARR this is what I'll give ya, bad humor mixed with irrelevant info that'll make you roll your eyes quicker than a ~Z~ banhammer...
Re: A couple projects
I can't imagine trying to do something that delicate.
And that is before I got old.
My favorite boxcars were the magenta 86 footer DT&I auto parts cars.

Re: A couple projects
Thanks for the compliments. Signals aren't perfectly straight but they are as close as I could get them.
Here are a couple pics of the progress. Now I just need to install LED's
