CSX Train Location Updates - Oct 2024

L305-02 departed Howell westbound at 19:45 with 98 CARS, leaving more cars on the main. Plan is to pull the entire train into the Trowbridge pass now that is vacant again, and die there. L30202 has 3096 leading, 4548 is trailing. Transformer was the second car back. Train had there rear headlight on to either keep they're on eye on it, or just for me which shined it up well in addition to my own floodlights. Only Four hours and 15 minutes to go to turn 80 years old.

Happy early 80th B-Day and thanks for confirming the CSX #4548 on L302. Now I can confirm it was M508-01 that ran early this morning through Deshler

The first car behind the power was an empty flat-car followed by the 8 axled center depressed flat-car carrying the transformer then with a second empty flat-car trailing the ensemble.

Rouge to L302-02 @ 00:12 Rouge instructed the crew to set off the high/wide (transformer) on the west end of 12 track in Wyoming Yard (Grand Rapids).

C800-03 @ 1:06 eastward clear east end of Sawyer CG104.6.

C800-03 @ 1:38 eastward reported by the Defect Detector CG91.9 St Joesph, MI with BNSF~9148 + ???? and 128 loaded coal cars. They had an approach signal it sounded like for the bridge.

RN Dispatcher to C800-03 @ 3:13 the crew were told they were to pick up the ‘pusher power’ from the east end of Grand Jct CG53.9.

C800-03 @ 3:25 eastward reported by the Defect Detector CG66.2 Heartford, MI with 524 axles.

C800-03 @ 3:45 clear west end of Grand Jct (where they are picking up their pushers for the Saugatuck hills.

Amtrak P371-03 @ 6:50 ish complained about a breaker issue or something occurring every 90 seconds

The high and wide transformer was picked up by L306 in Port Huron and hauled to Flint on Tuesday. LSRC brought it down to Wixom. Unknown if it ended up in Rougemere or if it was picked up en route by L302.

Correct on high wide load. The transformer is sitting on the west end of Wyoming Yard and visibly seen along Chicago Drive

Brighton siding is full of cars for GLC.

GLC preparing to depart Durand for AP at 10:41. GLC is consistently working CSX 3x a week, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday right now. CSX crew availability on the Lansing board seems to be the issue the last month or two.
